Molly graduated from Clemson University in 2010 with her BA in Biological Sciences and with a minor in Psychology. After her undergraduate studies, Molly served in AmeriCorps, where she organized activities and volunteer efforts for the American Red Cross and taught children and teens about emergency preparedness and a variety of mental health coping skills. She later went on to obtain her Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Molly’s previous clinical experience includes working at Thompson Child & Family Focus where she provided treatment to teens, adults, couples and families and later working in private practice settings providing extensive treatment with adults and teens, as well as couples.

Molly specializes in working with teens and adults of all ages providing both individual and couples/marital therapy. She finds great fulfillment in and has a passion for relationship work with couples and relationship systems from a variety of backgrounds and working with high school and college age clients. Molly provides therapy from a multicultural perspective for numerous issues and concerns including but not limited to relationship and marital issues, family relational issues, anxiety, general stress, life transitions, identity stress, sex and sexuality, trauma, adolescent emotional and behavioral issues, self-esteem issues and grief and bereavement.

She has extensive experience in working with teens, adults and couples who identify within the LGBTQ+ community and with couples in alternative relationships of any kind. Utilizing an eclectic approach to therapy, Molly collaborates with her clients to determine and design an individualized treatment plan which is tailored specifically for them and their needs. Her treatment pulls from a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities including Person-centered, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Existentialism, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioral treatment, Mindfulness, Emotionally-focused, Developmental, and Postmodern Constructivist approaches. Molly is in the process of obtaining certification in The Developmental model for treatment with couples. Molly also utilizes Sex or Kink Positive Therapy with couples who may be seeking this particular specialty. She also provides psychoeducational sessions for parents of adolescents as needed.

Molly meets her clients where they are in their journey and joins them there as a partner. Her goal is to provide a compassionate and accepting environment, yet also challenging clients to truly explore ways to obtain their objectives and best life. She always strives for therapy to allow for depth and exploration of self within a framework of professional proactivity and collaborative dynamics for clients to reach their goals while being true to their authentic selves. She conscientiously brings hope and courage to each session.

Molly is a skilled therapist who is passionate about her work and feels it to be such a privilege to work with each and every client. She is highly patient, empathetic and non-judgmental at all times and thrives at facilitating a safe space for her clients where no topic is taboo and vulnerability is honored and met with acceptance and compassion. She is calming yet also warm and outgoing and with a great sense of humor. Clients quickly feel a sense of comfort and safety with Molly who has a keen ability to build wonderful rapports with her clients who see right away how much she truly cares for them. She is also an ardent safe space ally for LGBTQ clients and ALL clients who are part of any marginalized, discriminated against or vulnerable population.

Molly offers day and some evening appointments both in-person and through telehealth.

Molly is in network with BCBS (except Blue Value or Blue Local), Cigna, and Aetna insurance plans. She also accepts private pay.
